2. Why feathers of peacocks?
Once Lord Krishna went into the woods and found the climate very joyous and exulted. He began to play his flute and got imbibed in it as the time passed on. The nature revealed its colours happy with the music of Lord Krishna. Some peacocks came there and stood still enthralled by the music of Lord Krishna. Krishna started to dance along with music. All the peacocks learnt dancing, looking at the movements of soft feet of Lord Krishna. After he stopped playing flute, all the peacocks went to Krishna and told that they learnt dance from him and he is their Guru. Peacocks gave their colourful feathers to Lord Krishna as Guru Dakshina. Lord Krishna received their lovely gifts and wore them on his head.
