To control the anger and frustration of Lord Narasimha Lord Shiva embodied as sharabha. This Sharabha avatar is the combination of lion and big eagle (Garuda). The strong sharabha fought with Narasimha Swamy. The most frustrated Narasimha fought with ashta mukha gandabherunda sharabha who is none other than Lord Shiva. They both had a war for 18 days.
