4. Where Shankha or Conch is used?

Normally Shankha is used in abhishekhams of various gods and goddesses. As the sound of conch is symbol of auspiciousness, abundance, prosperity, fame and arrival of Goddess Lakshmi, it will be blown at rituals and great initiations. Conch or Shankha is commonly used during the rituals of Durga, Lord Shiva, Ganesha and Vishnu. Propitiating Shankha with panchamrutas and offering doopam, deepam and naivedyam will ward off Vastu Problems at home.
