What is the symbolism of the appearance of Lord Shiva?

Third Eye is known as all seeing eye or the eye from which fierce fire comes out. Alertness, wisdom and knowledge are related to third eye. This is the eye which sees the unseen and unravels the secrets of the universe. Lord Shiva is the one who can control the third eye and sees every corner of this endless universe.
