Everything is customary in Indian society. Everything has its own attribution and importance according to the time. There is a sense of discipline in the culture of Hinduism and India as a whole. In India home is as holy as the temple. No house remains unclean every morning and evening. Still there are particular timings to clean house. Timings are designed in such a way that every one of the family will be comfortable except babies. Thanks to entrance of corporate culture in to India, it shattered the authentic timetables of common house holds in cities. When we go to country side or even semi urban areas follow the rule of cleaning the house at the perfect timings.
Right time to clean the house in the morning is immediately after sunrise, just before the golden hour. Everyone has a habit of waking up early in the morning, taking bath and performing morning rituals for Gods and Goddesses. House has to be cleaned before everyone takes bath. This facilitates family members to carry on other works like cooking and performing rituals without any doubt of uncleanness.
And in the evening, that half an hour before the sunset is the best time to clean the house as everyone will reach home from work. A clean house is always a good place to relax and experience peace of mind. This discipline has to be followed to allow all the works to go in a smooth manner as said by our great scriptures.
