4. What are the precautions to be taken when wearing Vibhuti?
Vibhuti should not fall on the ground. If it happens Vibhuti should be wiped out with a clean cloth instead of a broom. Men should not give Vibhuti to women by hand. Men and married women must wear wet Vibhuti. One should not use index finger to wear Vibhuti. Only middle finger or ring finger are to be used.
