3. How is Gold used in Ayurveda?
In Ayurveda, gold is used as a medicine in the form of ash or bhasma. Gold is made into fine powder and then it is made into bhasma through very skilled processes. This is called Swarna Bhasma. Swarna Bhasma acts as a natural aphrodisiac and treats muscle and nervous weakness. Using Swarna Bhasma regularly for three to four months in a prescribed dosage makes the body toxin-free and toxin-resistant. Gold-based medicines are used to control blood pressure. There are innumerable uses of Gold, explained in ancient Ayurvedic texts.
