4. Other Activities on the day of Ugadi
On the day of Ugadi, the high priest of the village will read out the yearly forecast which tells about the planetary positions for the year and how the times are going to be. This yearly forecast is known as Panchanga Shravanam. And visiting nearby temple this day is a mandatory thing. This is the day when everybody participates and enjoys cultural activities like singing and dancing. Traditional art forms are also celebrated today. To feast this day with all the traditional and tasty dishes is very important thing to be done.
