2. How she appears?
There are many depictions about Dhumavati in many books. She appears in dark grey complexion with a winnowing basket and varada mudra or boon conferring gesture. She rides a horse less chariot with a crow emblem on the flag.
In some depictions she appears black in complexion, embellished with jewellery and riding a crow. But the traditional description describes her without jewellery, with a white saree and untied grey hair with a wrinkled face. She is very kind to her worshippers in contract to her appearance.
